The story of Mouton Cadet is one of vision and accessibility, dating back to 1930 when Baron Philippe de Rothschild decided to release a branded wine that would bring the prestige of Bordeaux to a wider audience. This limited edition continues the brand's long-standing tradition of uniting winemaking excellence with the world of art.
For this special cuvée, Mouton Cadet collaborated with Parisian paper artist and set designer Marjorie Colas. Known for her delicate, poetic sculptures that play with light and shadow, Colas designed the packaging to metaphorically depict the "four seasons of the grapevine." Her intricate paper-craft aesthetic mirrors the patience and precision required in the vineyards, transforming the bottle into a celebration of nature's cycle and the winemaker's hand.
Inside the bottle lies the classic Mouton Cadet Rouge, a wine crafted primarily from Merlot for roundness, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and Cabernet Franc for elegance.
