Founded in 1868 in Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims, Canard-Duchêne is one of Champagne’s historic houses known for crafting expressive wines rooted in traditional Champagne methods.
The Cuvée Léonie Brut is named after Léonie Duchêne, co-founder of the house, and reflects the winery’s classic style: balanced, approachable, and gastronomic.
The blend combines the three traditional Champagne grapes—Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay—sourced from vineyards across the Champagne region. Pinot Noir contributes structure and red fruit depth, Pinot Meunier adds roundness and fruit charm, while Chardonnay brings elegance and freshness.
After the secondary fermentation in bottle (the méthode traditionnelle), the wine is aged on its lees to develop complexity and subtle brioche notes while maintaining crisp freshness.
The result is a Champagne that balances fruit purity with refined texture and lively acidity.
