Champagne Edouard Duval Brut Eulalie is an estate-grown non-vintage Champagne from the Monopole de Sainte-Eulalie in Bligny, within the southern Champagne subregion of the Côte des Bar. The 28-hectare property has been owned by the Duval family since the 1950s and is planted predominantly with Pinot Noir on steep Kimmeridgian limestone and clay slopes rich in fossilised oyster shells.
The cuvée combines 77% Pinot Noir from four old-vine parcels on the estate’s upper slopes with 23% Chardonnay from the parcel known as L’Épicea. Around one quarter of the base wines are fermented and matured in large Burgundian oak demi-muids, while the remainder is kept in stainless-steel tanks. This combination preserves freshness while adding breadth, texture, and subtle nutty complexity.
The domaine follows sustainable viticulture without herbicides and produces its Champagnes exclusively from estate-grown fruit. Brut Eulalie reflects the richer, Pinot Noir-driven character of the Côte des Bar while maintaining the freshness and precision expected of a gastronomic Champagne.
