"A major sleeper of the vintage, this wine is from Stephan von Neipperg. This gorgeous wine, which is Merlot-dominated with some Cabernet Franc, has turned out to be excellent and is certainly one of the real value picks in 2013. Most people would be smart to taste it out of bottle, but it is loaded. Dense ruby/purple with notes of cedar wood, Christmas fruitcake, spice box and creme de cassis, it has a surprisingly good and lush texture, light tannins and adequate acidity. Drink it over the next 7-8 years."
