Marciliano is the flagship wine of Famiglia Cotarella, one of Italy’s most respected modern winemaking families. Located in Umbria, near the Lazio border, the estate combines international grape varieties with Italian terroir to create a wine of both power and finesse.
Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Marciliano reflects a style often associated with top Bordeaux or Super Tuscan wines—but with its own Italian identity.
The vineyards benefit from volcanic soils and a warm yet balanced climate, allowing the grapes to ripen fully while maintaining structure and freshness. Careful aging in French oak enhances complexity without overpowering the fruit.
The result is a wine that is structured, layered, and refined, capable of long aging and serious appreciation.
