Garofoli Supera Verdicchio di Matelica DOC embodies the soul of central Italy’s highlands — crisp air, limestone soils, and ancient winemaking heritage. Produced by Casa Vinicola Garofoli, founded in 1901, this family-run winery is one of the oldest and most respected in the Marche region.
The Matelica Valley, unlike the coastal vineyards of Castelli di Jesi, sits inland between the Apennine Mountains, where cooler nights and higher altitude create Verdicchio grapes of remarkable tension, minerality, and finesse.
“Supera” — meaning to surpass — reflects Garofoli’s philosophy of continuous improvement: to express the purest and most elegant face of Verdicchio. Aged on fine lees for several months, it delivers a unique blend of freshness, texture, and aromatic depth.
