Mantellassi San Giuseppe Morellino di Scansano embodies the rustic beauty and sunlit charm of southern Tuscany’s Maremma region — a land of sea breezes, rolling hills, and ancient vineyards.
Produced by the Mantellassi family, who have cultivated vines in Scansano since the 1860s, this wine is an authentic reflection of tradition and terroir. In 1960, brothers Giovanni and Giuseppe Mantellassi formally founded the winery, transforming family heritage into one of the region’s most respected estates.
The wine is made primarily from Sangiovese, locally known as Morellino, sourced from hillside vineyards that benefit from warm days and cool coastal nights. The result is a red that balances ripe fruit generosity with Tuscan finesse. Aged partly in oak barrels, it blends freshness and softness with a touch of Mediterranean spice — a true expression of Maremma’s relaxed elegance.
