Founded in 1874, Bodegas Montecillo stands among Rioja’s historic producers, known for combining tradition with precision winemaking. The Reserva tier reflects longer ageing and greater complexity compared to Crianza, showcasing the estate’s dedication to depth and elegance.
Crafted primarily from Tempranillo grown in Rioja’s diverse soils, the wine undergoes extended ageing in oak barrels followed by additional bottle maturation before release. This ageing process integrates fruit, spice, and structure, resulting in a wine with both immediate harmony and the capacity to evolve further in bottle.
