The Nino Costa estate is a historic family-run winery located in the village of Monta, within the Roero district of Piedmont, Italy. Founded in 1851, the estate has been dedicated to traditional viticulture for over 170 years and currently manages approximately 17 acres of prime vineyard land. The "Cabora" expression is rooted in the unique terroir of the Langhe region, specifically from 30-year-old vines situated at altitudes of 280-320 meters above sea level. These vineyards feature sandy soils that are characteristic of the area, which impart a distinct aromatic elegance and a refined mineral finish to the Nebbiolo grapes, setting them apart from the heavier clay-based soils found in neighboring Barolo.

Nino Costa’s winemaking philosophy centers on organic farming and a commitment to showcasing the vibrant, youthful character of the Nebbiolo grape. Unlike the "King of Wines" styles that require decades of aging, the Cabora is crafted to be approachable and fruit-forward in its youth. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel to preserve their fresh red fruit aromas, such as cherry and pomegranate, and then aged for approximately six months in a combination of steel and oak barrels. This careful balance of tradition and modern precision results in a structured yet silky wine that emphasizes the natural tension, acidity, and terroir-driven purity of the Langhe hills.
