Paul Hobbs is one of Napa Valley's most influential winemakers, internationally recognized for crafting terroir-driven wines that combine precision, balance, and longevity. His meticulous vineyard selection and minimal-intervention philosophy have established him among America's leading producers of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Nathan Coombs Estate Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the historic Nathan Coombs Estate in Coombsville AVA, one of Napa Valley's coolest and most refined Cabernet-growing appellations. Named after Nathan Coombs, the founder of the City of Napa, the estate sits on ancient volcanic soils that naturally limit vine vigor while producing grapes of exceptional concentration and complexity.
The cool climate of Coombsville, influenced by San Pablo Bay, allows Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen gradually, preserving freshness and aromatic detail while developing fine-grained tannins. Each vineyard block is harvested separately, fermented in small lots, and matured in French oak barrels before the final blend is assembled.
The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon that combines the power expected from Napa Valley with the elegance, minerality, and precision that define Coombsville's unique terroir.
