The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Nathan Coombs Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (like the Coombsville bottling) but sees 90-95% new French oak. The resulting bouquet offers scents of cedar and vanilla but also hints of sage and menthol, plus a solid underpinning of black cherries and cassis. Full-bodied, plush and velvety, there's even a hint of blueberries on the palate, before dusty, astringent tannins clamp down on the finish.

Nathan Coombs Estate Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the historic Nathan Coombs Estate in Coombsville AVA, one of Napa Valley's coolest and most refined Cabernet-growing appellations. Named after Nathan Coombs, the founder of the City of Napa, the estate sits on ancient volcanic soils that naturally limit vine vigor while producing grapes of exceptional concentration and complexity.

The cool climate of Coombsville, influenced by San Pablo Bay, allows Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen gradually, preserving freshness and aromatic detail while developing fine-grained tannins. Each vineyard block is harvested separately, fermented in small lots, and matured in French oak barrels before the final blend is assembled.

The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon that combines the power expected from Napa Valley with the elegance, minerality, and precision that define Coombsville's unique terroir.
