Phelps Creek is a boutique winery located in Oregon (Columbia Gorge AVA) and focussing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In the 2000s, owner Bob Morus collaborated with Alexandrine Roy, from famous Domaine Roy in Gevrey Chambertin, and now produces classic Burgundian wine style. He also makes some Gewurztraminer and Riesling.
The gewurztraminer is sourced from Gorge Crest where the vines benefit from a great exposition to the sun during the day and cool breeze in the evening that retains the acidity in the grapes. Aromas of lychee and tropical fruits. Medium-bodied with a long and refreshing finish.
