Domaine Audiffred Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru "les Reignots"

The Audiffred field exploited since 1965 per Bernard and Henriette AUDIFFRED extends on 5 hectares, from Gevrey-Chambertin to Pommard. The family farm is a true passion, managed since the retirement of Bernard Henri AUDIFFRED by his son, who took over from his parents in 2007. The wines are manually bottled, not filtered or thickened. The method is traditional & natural, without changes of grounds, nor weeding. Only a regular tilling is practiced. The sulphating of the vines is containing copper and from suffers, without insecticides.

The wine makings are done by cold start (without yeast) which implies long cuvasions from 15 to 18 days, in wood tanks. The watering, the reassembly and the pigeage are made 3 times per day. The breeding is during 16 to 18 months out of barrels of oak. During this period, 2 rackings are made. Some vintages are bottled manually, the big volumes are put with a group of bottle-filling. The wines are bottled manually and underwent neither joining, nor filtering. White Beaune as for him has sudden the same manipulations as the red wines without before the bottling, a light filtration is practised, what implies that a light deposit can appear.
