This wine is produced using the RIPASSO technique, which is intentionally more restrictively applied in relation to the standard production method. The wine is obtained by going over again, once only, the premium Valpolicella Classico over the same quantity of Amarone marc. As a result, an authentic local wine is produced which elegantly exhibits a delightfully complex fruity aroma and spicy tones complemented with a good acidity and just the right alcohol content.

Speri Ripasso Valpolicella Classico DOC is the perfect embodiment of the Speri family’s devotion to the land and to time-honored winemaking. Founded in 1874, the Speri estate stands among the historical pioneers of Valpolicella Classico, a region nestled in the rolling hills of Veneto, near Verona. For over seven generations, the family has been cultivating their vineyards with deep respect for nature — today fully organic and sustainable.

The term “Ripasso” refers to a unique winemaking technique where young Valpolicella wine is “re-passed” over the Amarone grape skins, initiating a gentle re-fermentation that enriches the wine with body, complexity, and depth. This process creates an elegant bridge between Valpolicella’s freshness and Amarone’s richness — the perfect expression of Veneto’s dual character.

The result is a wine that balances fruit and spice, youth and maturity — an ode to both craftsmanship and patience.
