Travaglini is the historic benchmark producer of Gattinara, a prestigious Nebbiolo appellation located in northern Piedmont at the foothills of the Alps. The winery has been producing wines here since the 1920s and is widely recognized for elevating Gattinara’s reputation internationally.
Unlike Barolo and Barbaresco in the Langhe, Gattinara sits on ancient volcanic soils rich in porphyry and mineral deposits. These soils give the wines distinctive minerality, firmness, and longevity.
Vigna Ronchi is one of Travaglini’s top single-vineyard expressions and is produced only in selected vintages. The wine undergoes extended aging in large oak casks followed by additional bottle maturation, developing complexity while preserving the purity of Nebbiolo.
The estate is also famous for its uniquely curved bottle design, created to help capture sediment during pouring as the wine ages.
The result is a powerful yet elegant Nebbiolo with remarkable aging potential.
