Weingut Ulrich Langguth is a family-owned winery in Germany's historic Mosel region, where generations have cultivated some of the valley's finest steep-slope vineyards. The estate is renowned for producing terroir-driven Rieslings that express the remarkable balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality unique to the Mosel.
Piesporter Goldtröpfchen GG originates from the legendary Piesporter Goldtröpfchen vineyard, one of Germany's most celebrated Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) sites. Its steep south-facing slopes, Devonian blue slate soils, and ideal exposure to the Mosel River create exceptional conditions for Riesling, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while preserving vibrant acidity and remarkable mineral precision.
The GG (Grosses Gewächs) designation represents Germany's highest classification for dry wines from VDP Grosse Lage vineyards. Only the finest hand-selected grapes are used, with fermentation and maturation carefully managed to preserve the vineyard's distinctive identity and aging potential.
The result is a powerful yet precise dry Riesling that combines concentrated stone fruit, floral elegance, and profound slate-driven minerality, representing one of Germany's finest expressions of Riesling.
