Xige Estate is one of the most progressive wineries in Ningxia, a region at the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains that has rapidly gained international attention for premium Cabernet-based wines. With vineyards planted at elevations between 1,000–1,200 meters, the region benefits from intense sunlight, large diurnal temperature variation, and arid desert conditions.
These climatic factors create thick-skinned grapes with deep color, concentrated fruit, and naturally firm tannin structure. Irrigation from the Yellow River supports vine health in this semi-desert environment.
The N50 bottling represents a premium expression within the Xige portfolio. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Gernischt (often associated in China with Carmenère or old Cabernet Franc lineage) enhances aromatic complexity and structure. Oak maturation refines texture while preserving fruit purity.
The result is a wine that combines New World concentration with mountain-driven freshness.
