The Ribbon Springs once again lands in the intersection of finesse and opulence. White-peach and Bosc pear notes fill the nose, accented by chamomile and the scent of two pieces of quartz coming together to spark a fire. The 2021 Chardonnay Ribbon Springs Vineyard was matured for 12 months in French oak and finished with five months in stainless steel. Single Vineyard Chardonnay – Ribbon Springs Vineyard is sourced exclusively from the acclaimed Ribbon Springs Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, one of Willamette Valley's most prestigious sub-appellations. Ancient marine sedimentary soils, a cool maritime climate, and long growing seasons provide ideal conditions for Chardonnay, producing fruit with exceptional freshness, aromatic purity, and mineral complexity.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented primarily in French oak barrels, followed by careful lees aging to build texture and depth while preserving the vineyard's natural elegance. The restrained use of oak enhances the wine's complexity without overshadowing its vibrant fruit and distinctive terroir.
The result is a sophisticated single-vineyard Chardonnay that combines richness with precision, beautifully expressing the cool-climate character of Ribbon Ridge.
