Alamos is the flagship wine brand of the renowned Catena family, pioneers of Argentina's modern wine industry. Crafted by the Catena winemaking team, Alamos showcases the exceptional quality of high-altitude vineyards while producing wines that are approachable, expressive, and true to their origin.
Alamos Chardonnay is sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Mendoza, nestled at elevations of 900–1,500 meters above sea level. The combination of abundant sunshine, cool Andean nights, and mineral-rich soils allows Chardonnay to ripen slowly, preserving vibrant acidity while developing concentrated fruit flavors.
Following gentle pressing, the wine is fermented with a combination of stainless steel and French oak fermentation. A portion undergoes malolactic fermentation and lees aging, contributing subtle creaminess and complexity while maintaining freshness and fruit purity.
The result is a beautifully balanced Chardonnay that combines ripe orchard fruit, delicate tropical notes, and subtle oak influence in a refined, modern style.
