Fairview Bushvine Cinsault

Fairview is one of South Africa's most historic family-owned wineries, founded in 1693 in Paarl. Renowned for championing Mediterranean grape varieties and old-vine vineyards, Fairview produces wines that combine authenticity, balance, and a strong sense of place.

Bushvine Cinsault is crafted from mature bush vines grown in the Swartland region, where the warm Mediterranean climate, cooling Atlantic breezes, and ancient granite and shale soils create ideal conditions for Cinsault. Traditionally grown as bush vines (gobelet-trained), these low-yielding vines produce fruit with remarkable concentration while maintaining freshness and aromatic purity.

The grapes are hand-harvested and gently fermented to preserve the variety's bright red fruit and floral character. Careful maturation in older French oak barrels adds subtle texture and complexity without masking the wine's delicate elegance.

The result is a refined, fruit-driven Cinsault that highlights vibrant freshness, silky texture, and the distinctive personality of South Africa's old-vine vineyards.
