Frerejean Frères VV26 Grand Cru is a prestige Blanc de Blancs Champagne produced from old Chardonnay vines planted in 1926 in Cramant, one of the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs.
The name VV26 refers to Vieilles Vignes 1926, highlighting the exceptional age of the vineyard. These mature vines produce naturally low yields, while their deep roots penetrate the chalk-rich soils of Cramant, contributing concentration, freshness, and a pronounced mineral character.
The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay and undergoes extended maturation, including ageing in oak barrels and prolonged time on the lees. This patient approach develops a richer, more vinous style, adding notes of toasted pastry, roasted nuts, vanilla, and savoury complexity while preserving the precision and freshness associated with Grand Cru Chardonnay.
