From I Veroni, a boutique estate in the prestigious Chianti Rufina zone of Tuscany, this Vin Santo Riserva represents one of Italy’s most historic and revered wine styles. Vin Santo, meaning “Holy Wine,” has been produced for centuries—traditionally reserved for special occasions and moments of reflection.
The grapes are carefully selected and dried (appassimento) for several months, concentrating sugars and flavors before fermentation. The wine is then aged slowly in small oak barrels, often for years, allowing it to develop deep complexity, oxidative character, and remarkable balance.
Chianti Rufina, known for its cooler climate compared to central Chianti, contributes freshness and structure to the wine—ensuring that even with its richness, the wine remains elegant and vibrant.
This is a wine of patience and craftsmanship—layered, meditative, and deeply expressive of Tuscan tradition.
