VIK is one of Chile's most prestigious wineries, founded by Alexander and Carrie Vik with the vision of producing world-class wines that rival the finest estates globally. Located in the heart of the Millahue Valley—meaning "Place of Gold" in the indigenous Mapuche language—the estate benefits from a unique combination of granitic soils, coastal influence, and Andean breezes.
VIK A Carménère is part of the winery's "A" series, designed to showcase the exceptional quality of individual grape varieties grown across the estate's vineyards. The fruit is sourced from carefully selected vineyard blocks where Carménère reaches full physiological ripeness while maintaining freshness and aromatic complexity.
The wine is fermented under carefully controlled conditions before aging in French oak barrels, adding subtle notes of vanilla and spice while preserving the purity of the fruit. The result is a polished, modern expression of Chile's signature grape—combining richness, elegance, and excellent drinkability.
