Villa Wolf Pinot Noir

Villa Wolf was established in 1756 and is one of the historic wineries of Germany's Pfalz region. Since 1996, the estate has been owned and revitalized by acclaimed winemaker Ernst Loosen, whose philosophy combines traditional German viticulture with minimal-intervention winemaking to highlight vineyard character and freshness. Villa Wolf Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) is sourced from carefully selected vineyards throughout the Pfalz. Benefiting from one of Germany's warmest wine-growing climates, along with sandstone and limestone-rich soils, the grapes achieve excellent ripeness while preserving the bright acidity and elegance that define German Pinot Noir. The wine is fermented in small lots and matured in large seasoned oak casks and French oak barrels, allowing the fruit to remain the focus while adding subtle texture and complexity. The restrained use of oak preserves the wine's vibrant red fruit, floral aromatics, and silky mouthfeel. The result is a refined, Burgundian-inspired Pinot Noir that beautifully balances freshness, finesse, and purity of fruit, offering an authentic expression of the Pfalz.
