Shumi Winery is one of Georgia's leading wineries, dedicated to preserving the country's 8,000-year-old winemaking heritage while combining traditional practices with modern techniques. Located in the heart of Kakheti, Georgia's premier wine region, Shumi is internationally recognized for producing authentic wines from indigenous Georgian grape varieties.
Shumi Tsinandali is a classic expression of Georgia's historic Tsinandali PDO, one of the country's oldest protected wine appellations. The wine is traditionally made from a blend of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane Kakhuri, two indigenous white grape varieties that have been cultivated in Kakheti for centuries.
The vineyards benefit from warm sunny days, cool mountain breezes from the Caucasus, and well-drained soils that allow the grapes to ripen fully while retaining vibrant natural acidity. Fermentation takes place under temperature-controlled conditions to preserve the wine's fresh fruit character and elegant floral aromatics.
The result is a refined dry white wine that combines crisp citrus fruit, delicate floral notes, and refreshing minerality, offering one of the most classic expressions of Georgian white wine.
