Familia Zuccardi is one of Argentina's most acclaimed wineries, recognized worldwide for its pioneering work in expressing the distinct terroirs of the Uco Valley. Under Sebastián Zuccardi, the winery has shifted its focus from grape variety to vineyard identity, producing wines that faithfully reflect their place of origin.
Zuccardi Alluvional Gualtallary is part of the Alluvional collection, created to showcase the influence of the alluvial soils that define Mendoza's finest vineyards. This wine comes exclusively from Gualtallary, one of Argentina's most prestigious wine-growing areas in the Tupungato district of the Uco Valley.
The vineyards sit between 1,300 and 1,500 metres above sea level, where cool mountain temperatures, intense sunlight, and rocky alluvial soils rich in limestone create ideal conditions for producing Malbec of exceptional freshness and precision. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and matured primarily in concrete vessels and large neutral oak, minimizing oak influence and allowing the vineyard's mineral character to remain the focus.
The result is a powerful yet remarkably elegant Malbec that expresses Gualtallary's distinctive limestone terroir through purity, freshness, and extraordinary finesse.
