Familia Zuccardi is one of Argentina's most acclaimed wineries, internationally recognized for redefining the potential of Malbec through a strong focus on terroir. Led by Sebastián Zuccardi, the estate has become synonymous with expressing the unique characteristics of the Uco Valley, where altitude, limestone soils, and mountain climate create wines of exceptional purity.
Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2020 is one of the estate's most sought-after single-vineyard wines, produced from an extremely small parcel within Finca Piedra Infinita in Paraje Altamira. The name "Gravascal" refers to the vineyard's extraordinary soil composition—deep layers of gravel coated with limestone (caliche), among the most distinctive terroirs in the Uco Valley.
Situated at approximately 1,100 metres above sea level, the vineyard benefits from intense sunlight, cool Andean nights, and a long growing season. Fermentation takes place using native yeasts, followed by aging in concrete vessels rather than new oak, allowing the limestone-driven minerality and purity of the fruit to remain the focus.
The result is an exceptionally elegant and age-worthy Malbec that emphasizes finesse, tension, and terroir expression over richness or oak influence.
